AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas softball team will close out the 2014 regular season this weekend with a three-game American Southwest Conference (ASC) series against LeTourneau. The set, which will be played at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, is scheduled to open with a 5 p.m. contest on Friday and will conclude with a 12 p.m. doubleheader the following day.
The Tornados (15-22, 12-18 ASC) are looking to snap a 10-game skid. Concordia Texas already has clinched a berth in the next week's ASC Tournament, but will be playing for seeding this weekend. The Tornados, who are currently in seventh place, can finish as high as sixth and as low as eighth based on this weekend's outcomes.
The YellowJackets (15-22, 10-20 ASC) currently hold eighth place, two games behind CTX. LeTourneau dropped two of three games last weekend to Mississippi College.
