AUSTIN, Texas – For the fourth time in the last five seasons, the Concordia University Texas softball team will make an appearance in the American Southwest Conference Tournament. The Tornados will open up the double-elimination event, which will take place at Texas-Tyler's Suddenlink Field, at 1 p.m. Thursday against eighth-ranked East Texas Baptist.
Concordia Texas (17-23), which earned the No. 7 seed in this year's tournament, won two of three games last weekend in its final regular season series against LeTourneau.
The Tornados rank seventh in the conference with a .294 batting average and ninth with a 5.23 ERA.
