HOUSTON – St. Thomas scored two goals in each half and rolled to a 4-1 victory in non-conference play over the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team on Friday night at Houston Sports Park.
The Celts received two goals in the first 10 minutes to take control of the match.
James Montalbo Jr. cut the lead in half after putting the Tornados on the board in the 82nd minute. However, St. Thomas scored two more times in the last six minutes of the match to pull away.
The Celts launched 15 total shots, including 10 on net, while Concordia Texas attempted 13 shots, including eight on target.
Concordia will return to action at 4 p.m. Saturday, in a non-conference tilt at Houston-Victoria.
