AUSTIN, Texas – Mary Hardin-Baylor rallied from a seven-point deficit in the second half to upend the Concordia University Texas women's basketball team, 64-61, on Monday evening at Concordia Fieldhouse.
WHERE THEY STAND• The Tornados saw their streak of two consecutive wins come to an end, as they dropped to 7-10 overall (6-7 ASC).
• The Cru improved to 10-8 overall (6-7 ASC).
HOW IT HAPPENED• Concordia Texas led for 22:55 in the game, and extended their advantage to 59-52 with 3:41 to play.
• UMHB went on an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to grab a 60-59 lead.
• The Cru took the lead for good when Kourtney Bevers connected on a layup with 1:13 remaining.
• Overall, Mary Hardin-Baylor scored 12 of the final 14 points of the contest.
• Three Tornados reached double figures, led by
Isis Johnson's 17 points.
Camille Horman scored 11, while
Emily Cullers added 10.
• CTX assisted on 13 of its 23 baskets in the game.
