PINEVILLE, La. – The Concordia University Texas nearly overcame an 11-point deficit in the final five minutes on Thursday night, but Louisiana College held on for a 70-67 victory over the Tornados at H.O. West Fieldhouse.
WHERE THEY STAND• Concordia Texas suffered its second straight loss by three points and dropped to 7-11 overall (6-8 ASC).
• The Lady Wildcats won their fourth consecutive game and improved to 12-4 overall (9-4 ASC).
HOW IT HAPPENED• Louisiana College used a 13-4 run that was capped by a Skylar Chenevert 3-pointer to take a 65-54 advantage with 5:28 to play.
• The Tornados chipped away at the lead, cutting it to 69-67 when
Nadine Fadelle buried a 3-pointer with only 21 seconds left.
• After Keana Frank hit one of two free throws, CTX called a timeout to set up a final play. However, the potential tying 3-pointer missed in the final seconds.
• Fadelle led all players with 20 points, while
Isis Johnson posted 13 points and 10 rebounds to log her fourth double-double of the year.

Emily Cullers added 10 points and seven assists,
Ashley Humbles scored a career-high 10 points and
Ally Terry grabbed 10 rebounds.
• The Tornados shot 41.8 percent (28-of-67) from the floor, including just 23.5 percent (4-for-17) from beyond the arc. CTX also managed only 46.7 percent (7-for-15) from the free-throw line.
• Kaci Willis paced the Lady Wildcats with 14 points and seven assists.
