ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Concordia University Texas softball team dropped both ends of a non-conference doubleheader to George Fox Tuesday at Old Settlers Park. The Bruins picked up 4-0 and 6-2 wins.
The Tornados (7-13) managed just five hits on the day, including three in the nightcap.
However, Concordia Texas also committed five errors which led to seven unearned runs.
Blair Huff drove in the only two Tornados runs of the afternoon, as the junior infielder belted a two-run double in the second inning of the finale.
Meanwhile, the Bruins (18-4) tallied 21 hits during the twinbill.
Concordia will return to action on Friday, as the squad opens a three-game American Southwest Conference series with I-35 rival Mary Hardin-Baylor. First pitch for the doubleheader is scheduled for 5 p.m.
