TYLER, Texas – The Concordia University Texas softball team wrapped up its American Southwest Conference (ASC) series at No. 2 Texas-Tyler with an 11-0 loss in five innings on Saturday at Suddenlink Field.
The Tornados (7-24, 7-16 ASC) collected five hits in the finale.
Sydney Coffey led the way with a 2-for-2 performance.
Alyssa Autrey,
Morgan Loredo and
Amber Robinson all had one knock, while Loredo had the only extra-base hit for Concordia Texas – a fifth-inning double.
Coffey (2-8) was handed the loss in the circle, as the right-hander went the distance and allowed 11 runs (nine earned) on 14 hits.
Kelsie Batten (16-1) picked up the win after hurling three scoreless panels and giving up only three hits.
The Tornados will return to action on Thursday, April 16, in a non-conference doubleheader at Houston-Victoria. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
