GEORGETOWN, Texas -- The Clncordia Texas men's tennis squad suffered its first 9-0 loss to a Division III team Wednesday evening at Southwestern.
The Pirates (9-5) entered the day ranked No. 15 in the region.
Gabriel Borunda's winning streak against Division III foes came to an end at seven after a 6-4, 6-3 defeat against the No. 13 player in the region, Nickoloz Snovely. Borunda falls to 7-3 overall. His two previous losses were to UT Rip Grande Valley and St. Edwards, members of Division I and II, respectively.
The tandem of
Jack Proctor and
Adrian Montes nearly put CTX (3-7) on the board at line two doubles, but the Tornado duo fell short 9-8 (8-4).
Concordia begins its ASC play Friday at 11 AM at UMHB.
