AUSTIN, Texas -- The Concordia Texas men's tennis team fell short in a 9-0 decision against Trinity Tuesday afternoon at River Place Country Club.
Gabriel Borunda presented a challenge to the No. 12 Tigers at line one singles. He took on Paxton Deuel, who ranks fifth in the region, and forced a 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 decision. Borunda and Iousa Malaki fell by the minimum to Deuel and Matt Tyer, 8-6, at line one doubles. Tyer entered the contest as the top doubles player in the West as ranked by ITA.
