BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Concordia Texas softball team suffered a pair of losses on Friday to conclude their series at Howard Payne. The Lady Jackets took the opener 2-0 and the finale 4-1.

GAME ONE – HPU 2, CTX 0

CTX suffered a 2-0 loss in a one-hit shutout dealt by HPU. Both of the Lady Jacket tallies came in the bottom of the sixth.

GAME TWO – HPU 4, CTX 1

The hosts tallied a pair of runs in the bottom of the first, but the Tornados got one across in the top of the third. Olivia Kaase drove in the tally, taking advantage of an HPU error.

Unfortunately, the Lady Jackets scored two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Concordia couldn't get any more across.

CTX concludes the 2016 season on the road at Ozarks. The series opens Apr. 22.
