AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's tennis squad triumphed 9-0 over Howard Payne Friday at River Place Country Club.

Jack Proctor won 8-1 at line two doubles and posted a clean 6-0, 6-0 triumph at line five singles on Senior Day.

With the victory, the Tornados (5-7) improved to 2-0 in ASC West play heading into a showdown with the division-leading UT Dallas Comets on Sunday.

Concordia came out energetic and jumped on the Yellow Jackets (1-11, 0-1) early taking all three doubles matches.

No one dropped a set in singles play.

As mentioned, the Tornados conclude the 2016 home slate Sunday against UT Dallas at the Austin Tennis Center. First serve is at 3 p.m.
