AUSTIN, Texas -- The Concordia Texas men's tennis team fell short, 8-1, to UT Dallas Sunday at the Austin Tennis Center.
The Comets (4-1, 3-0 ASC West) entered the contest as the 17th-ranked team in the region by the ITA.
"UT Dallas proved to be too strong for the Tornados (5-8, 2-1) today. UTD swept all three doubles matches and carried that momentum to an 8-1 victory," coach
Daniel Whitehead said.
Borunda, who ranks 24th in the region, tallied the lone point for the Tornados at the top line singles. He improved to 10-3 this season and 3-0 in ASC West play.
Concordia travels to Alpine, Texas, for a pair of matches beginning Apr. 7. First up it's the University of the Southwest before an Apr. 8 date with Sul Ross State.
