AUSTIN, Texas – After thunderstorms blew through the area, it turned out to be a perfect day for Senior Day festivities at Tornado Softball Field Saturday afternoon, except for the result, as CTX fell 4-0 in the series finale against UT Dallas.

The Comets struck first on an RBI single from Stefanie Polderman in the top of the second. They would add another run in the top of the third on an RBI triple and took advantage of two CTX errors in the sixth and seventh to add a couple of insurance runs.

The Tornados were able to string together a pair of two-out singles in the bottom of the sixth, but did not score.

Sydney Coffey went 2-for-3 to finish the weekend a combined 5-for-7 at the dish.

Concordia travels to Howard Payne for a three-game set starting with Friday's doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
