Tornados Men's Soccer Drop 2-1 Heartbreaker at Comets in OT

BOX SCORE RICHARDSON, Texas -- Two goals from UT Dallas' Alfreado Kaegi were all that the Comets needed in handing the Concordia Texas men's soccer team just its second loss of the season.

Kaegi's second goal in the 91st minute as the overtime period unfolded proved to be the blow to the Tornados.

In an extremely dramatic matchup between the region's No. 4 (UTD) and No. 7 (CTX) teams, the contest was hard-fought wire-to-wire on both sides of the pitch.

Kaegi's first goal opened the scoring very early on, coming in the sixth minute off a deflection.

The score stood at 1-0 until nearly the intermission, when Fabian Billings nailed the game-tying goal in the 41st minute.

Jesus Barrera made three of his four saves in the second half to keep the game in a 1-1 stalemate. Not to be outdone, his Comet counterpart Joseph Weber made two of his three stops in the period.

The Tornados return to action Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:30 at Howard Payne.
