ABILENE, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision to sixth-ranked Hardin-Simmons Thursday at HSU Soccer Complex.
With the loss, the Tornados dropped to 8-7, 4-6 in ASC play on the season.
CTX remains in the eighth spot of the ASC standings with two games left to play. The top eight teams in the conference qualify for the ASC Tournament.
Cayla Gonzalez led the way for the Tornados with two shots and one shot on goal.
Shelby Franco moved to 6-7 on the season while picked up eight saves in goal.
Hardin-Simmons opened the scoring in the 21st minute and added another in the 28th minute. The game remained 2-0 for the rest of the first half.
The Cowgirls responded after halftime with five second half goals to take home the 7-0 win.
Next up, CTX will take on McMurry on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Abilene, Texas.
