AUSTIN, Texas –
Marjani Myles picked up 14 kills and hit .367, but the Concordia Texas volleyball team fell 3-1 to Mary-Hardin Baylor.
Myles, a freshman from Houston, also had three blocks as the Tornados moved to 13-10, 10-5 in the ASC. CTX has clinched the number two seed in the ASC West Division.
In the first set, the Tornados trailed 11-10 before UMHB went on a 10-1 run to take the set 25-17.
CTX bounced back in set two with a 25-18 win, hitting .321 as a team in the set. Myles had five kills in the second set alone.
UMHB rallied, however, to win sets three and four, 25-21 and 25-15 to take the match 3-1.
Georgia Quiroz produced over 30 assists for the fourth time in the last six matches with 32. Meanwhile, the Tornados had seven service aces as a team over four sets.
Next up, CTX will head to Abilene, Texas for their final ASC match of the season against McMurry at 6 p.m. The Tornados won a five set thriller over the Warhawks earlier this season.
