DANVILLE, Va. – Holding a five-point lead at the half, the Concordia Texas men's basketball team outscored Averett University 56-38 in the second half, closing out their east coast road trip with a 91-68 win on Sunday.

The three ball was the key for the Tornados­­­, shooting 48 percent from behind the arc, knocking down eight of them in the second half alone.

Ephriam Price III had a team-high 18 points with 13 of them coming in the second half. He was one of five CTX players to reach double figures, including Ronnie Hamilton, who had 11 of career-high 15 points in the first half.

Ben Page had 10 of his 12 points coming after halftime, including a pair of dunks, while DeTarrius Kirk has a team-high seven rebounds.

After a 0-3 performance in the first half, Joshua Samuels exploded for 17 points, knocking down five treys from behind the arc. Joe Neal was a perfect 6-6 from the free-throw line on his way to a 15-point game.

The Tornados as a team finished the game shooting over 60 percent from the field, while forcing the issue on the defensive end pressuring the Cougars into 21 turnovers for 27 points.
