RICHARDSON, Texas – Playing in their first game since Dec. 19, the Concordia Texas women's basketball team fell 70-49 to Wisconsin-Eau Claire in the first day of the UT Dallas Classic on Friday.
Jaela Dejean led the way for the Tornados, pouring in 15 points, 12 of them coming in the second half. She also added three assists on the day.

Kaycie Dunkerley got off to a hot start for CTX, knocking down back-to-back threes to open the scoring in the first quarter. The Tornados would hold a 20-16 lead after one period with Dunkerley up to nine points in the game.
The Blugolds would rally back though, outscoring CTX 21-7 in the second quarter and held a 10-point lead at the midway point.
In the second half, Dejean would try to rally the Tornados, going 8-10 from the free-throw line. She finished shooting 75 percent from the line for the game.
Wisconsin-Eau Claire would run away with it though, maintaining a double-digit lead to a 70-49 win.
Concordia Texas returns to the court on Saturday in the second day of the UTD Classic as they will take on Trinity at noon inside the UTD Activity Center.
