MARSHALL, Texas – The Concordia Softball team, facing sixth-ranked East Texas Baptist, were unable to grab a lead, losing both games of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.

In the fifth, the Tornados were retired in order, ending the game on run rule, losing 9-0.
In game two, CTX tallied two hits, but could not score a run against ETBU.

Emma Martino led off the fourth with a single, but one out later a double play ended the threat and the inning for the Tornados.
???????ETBU added a pair of runs in the fourth to make it 7-0. In the fifth, a
Haley Dennett two-out single was not enough as the Tigers forced
Ryan Gibson to pop out.
The Tigers pushed across another run in the bottom half of the fifth to end the game on run rule, taking the game 8-0.
CTX will close out the series on Sunday at 1 p.m. as the originally scheduled games were moved to Saturday and Sunday due to the rain on Friday night.
