PINEVILLE, La. –
Eric Bigon and
Joel Abrego's second half goals insured the Concordia Texas men's soccer team their third conference win of the season, defeating Louisiana College 3-0 on Saturday.
The Tornados (6-2-1, 3-2-1 ASC) finished the day with 18 shots, including nine on goal.
Rob Oakley, meanwhile, recorded six saves, posting his third shutout of the season.
Nash Cole would get CTX on the board first when he was fouled inside the box in the 13th minute. Cole would shoot it past the goalie on the resulting penalty kick to give the Tornados a 1-0 lead over the Wildcats (1-7, 1-4 ASC). On the defensive side of the ball, CTX did not allow a shot in the first half and led 1-0 at the break.
In the second half, the Tornados would take advantage of a corner kick in the 60th minute as
