AUSTIN, Texas –
Ephriam Price III shot over 60 percent from the floor and the Concordia Texas men's basketball team ran away with their fifth win in their last six games, an 87-74 victory over Louisiana College on Saturday.
Price III shot 11-18 from the floor and was perfect from the line for a team-high 28 points.
Ben Page, meanwhile, recorded his first double-double of the season, shooting 50 percent from the field for 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
The Tornados trailed by four early, but Page would heat up, scoring 14 points in the first half including going 3-3 from behind the arc. Concordia Texas would take their largest lead of the first half after a Price III three to go up by 11. The Wildcats would cut it to down to seven and CTX led 45-37 at the break.
In the second half, LC would cut the lead to three at the 18:09 mark. The Tornados responded with a 12-0 run, including back-to-back threes from
Charles Johnson III and
Gabriel Spivey.
They would expand their lead to the largest of the night after a Spivey free throw and led 69-50 with 9:07 remaining. Price III would close out the game scoring 11 points in the final 5:07, defeating the Wildcats 87-74.
