BELTON, Texas –
Victor Gomez would score his second goal of the season as the Concordia Texas men's soccer looked to rally from a two-goal, but came up short, falling 2-1 to Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday.
The Tornados would fall behind early on in the first half, as the Cru found the back of the net twice within the first 12 minutes of the game.
Concordia Texas would respond quickly though as Gomez scored in the 14
th minute to trim the lead in half.
Joel Abrego would pick up the assist on the goal, his fourth of the season, which ties him for the team lead.
The score would remain 2-1 as the halfway point.
In the second half, the Tornados searched for an equalizing goal, recording three shots in the half alone, but were unable to tie it up, losing 2-1 to UMHB.
Concordia Texas will look to get back on the winning track on Thursday when they host McMurry at 7:30 p.m. from the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas, celebrating senior night as well.
