RICHARDSON, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's soccer team's three-game win streak came to an end on Saturday, falling to UT Dallas 1-0.
The Tornados would hold the Comets to the lone goal, despite them having 24 shots in the game, including 11 being on goal.
Goalkeeper
Shelby Franco had a season-high 10 saves for the Tornados, two away from tying her career high.
UT Dallas grabbed the lead in the 23rd minute after taking the rebound off a shot and putting it into the back of the net.
Concordia Texas would look for the equalizer for the rest of the half with
Cayla Gonzalez nearly tying it up, but the Comets were there for the save.
In the second half, the Tornados would get one last chance at a goal with a shot by
Emily Newton, but UTD was present for the save as CTX fell 1-0.
