AUSTIN, Texas – Isaac Glynn would win a thrilling singles match a line six but it was not enough as the Concordia Texas men's tennis team fell to Austin College 6-3 on Saturday at River Place Country Club.

After trailing 3-0 at the end of the double matches, the Tornados would begin to rally.

Micah Austin would pick up the first win for CTX, playing at line three, he would take the super tiebreaker 10-7 after splitting the first two sets. Victor Escalon followed that up with his own victory, in straight set fashion, winning 6-2, 6-4.

In the final match of the night, Glynn would split the first two sets with the Roos. In the super tiebreaker he would fend off match point and come from behind to win it 15-13.

Hoanh Le and Clayton Hernandez suffered tough losses earlier in the match at line one and four, respectively. Concordia Texas would come up short in the team match, falling 6-3.

The Tornados will now travel to Belton, Texas to face Mary Hardin-Baylor on Tuesday at 1 p.m. as they open up American Southwest Conference play.
