Tornados win fourth straight with late rally against Belhaven

JACKSON, Miss. – The Concordia Texas women's basketball team outscored Belhaven 18-6 in the fourth quarter to come away with their fourth straight victory, taking it 64-53 on Saturday.

Kaycie Dunkerley led the Tornados with a game-high 20 points. It is Dunkerley's sixth 20-point performance of the season

Concordia Texas would get off to a fast start, taking their a 12-point lead in the first quarter, but headed to the fourth period tied at 46-all.

The Tornados would trail for the first time all game after a Blazers' 3-pointer to open the quarter.

Concordia Texas would heat up though, and retake the lead after Payton Berger's 3-pointer. They would go on to outscore Belhaven 15-3 the rest of the way, running away with a 64-53 win.

It is the fourth straight win for the Tornados and second in conference play, all coming on the road. Berger finished with 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds, while Keturah Taylor added 13 points and seven boards.

Next, the Tornados will return home for a matchup against McMurry on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. inside Concordia Fieldhouse.
