In the second half, CTX limited SU to only four shots, but saw the deficit grow as the Pirates converted a penalty kick in the 71st minute after a handball violation inside the box.
The Tornados had two late scoring opportunities in the final 10 minutes of the game, as
Cayla Gonzalez and
Alyssa Castro each fired a shot on goal, but both were saved and CTX fell 4-0 to SU.
Next, the Tornados will concluded the regular season and celebrate senior night on Friday, hosting Mary Hardin-Baylor at 5 p.m. in Round Rock, Texas at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
