RICHARDSON, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's soccer team continued their two-game road trip, facing UT Dallas on Saturday night, falling 6-0 at UTD Soccer Field.
The Tornados racked up eight shots on the night, including four on goal, but were unable to break through the Comets' defense.
UT Dallas scored three goals in the first 20 minutes, jumping out to a 3-0 lead.
Savannah McHam, looked to counter for CTX in the 24th minute, but her shot was saved by Comets goalie Morgan Sherman. After another UTD goal,
Delaney Kennedy had a shot on goal in the 39th minute, but it was saved once again.
At the break, the Comets held a 4-0 advantage.
In the second half,
Cayla Gonzalez recorded two shots, including one on goal, but the Tornados remained scoreless.
UT Dallas added two more goals in the half, going on to win the game 6-0.
Up next, CTX will return home for a two-game home stand, facing Sul Ross State and Howard Payne. The Tornados will take on the Lobos on Thursday at 5 p.m. in Round Rock, Texas in the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
