ROUND ROCK, Texas –
Marco Vazquez fired the equalizing goal into the back of the net in the 89th minute as the Concordia Texas men's soccer team rallied from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
Prior to the start of the match, the team and coaching staff recognized its four seniors,

The Tornados were aggressive offensively throughout the night, recording 21 shots for the game, eight of them being on goal, while limiting the Cru to only eight shots.
Mary Hardin-Baylor though, struck first with a goal in the 11th minute off a free kick and header into the back of the net. They doubled their lead in the second half, this time in the 61

Concordia Texas did not go quietly though, rallying in the 79th minute and cutting the deficit in half as
Bernabe Torres' blocked shot was followed by
Xavier Polk, who shot the ball past the Cru's Dalton Lloyd to make it 2-1.
As the final minutes of the game ticked away, the Tornados completed the comeback when Polk's headed pass in the box found the leg of Vazquez, who launched it into the net for his team-leading seventh goal of the season and knotted it up at 2-all.
Neither team was able to take the lead in the closing seconds of the game, settling for a 2-2 draw and a point in the conference standings.
With the draw, CTX secures the second seed in the American Southwest Conference Tournament, where they will host Belhaven in a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday at 7 p.m., at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas.
