TEMPE, Ariz. –
Joshua Bode of the Concordia Texas men's tennis team made program history as he was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division III Singles All-American as the singles and doubles All-America teams were released on Thursday.
Bode, a freshman out of Austin, Texas, became the first Tornado in school history to earn All-American laurels after he won the ITA Southwest Regional singles title back on Sept. 30 and went on to compete in the ITA Cup.
Bode finished the season with a 10-2 mark, reaching as high of a singles ranking as 10th and finished the year ranked 47th in the nation.
In the spring, Bode helped CTX to its first-ever American Southwest Conference divisional title, as the team went undefeated in conference play to win the west division.
In the ASC Tournament, the Tornados made their first-ever finals appearance before falling to UT Dallas. Bode, along with five other CTX players, earned All-ASC accolades, the most in program history.
