ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's soccer team faced Our Lady of the Lake, falling short 4-0 on Friday at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
The Tornados would trail early in the first half as the Saints struck with a goal in the eighth minute. Later in the half, OLLU would tack on another goal and make it 2-0 in the 32nd minute.
Concordia Texas, meanwhile, would register two shots in the first half, including a
Kayla Carlove strike near the end of the half, but missed wide of the goal. At the break, the Tornados trailed 2-0.
In the second half, CTX looked to cut the deficit in half, but were unable to convert a scoring opportunity.
The Saints would add to their lead with a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes of the game, going on to defeat the Tornados 4-0.
Goalie
Sofie Gomez finished the game with five saves, including four in the second half. It is her third game this season with at least five saves.
