BOX SCORE SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's tennis team saw their two-match winning streak come to an end on Saturday, falling to Trinity 9-0.
The Tornados fell behind early, losing all three double matches to the Tigers.
Robin Van der Heijden and
Adrian Munguia teamed up at line one doubles, but could not come back from an early deficit, falling 8-2.
In single play, Van der Heijden lost a heartbreaker at line one, coming up short to TU's Jordan Pitts 6-4, 7-5.
Esteban Arredondo, meanwhile, only lost a game in each set, but was unable to force a decisive third set, falling at line three 6-4, 6-4.
Concordia Texas was unable to salvage a point in the rest of the singles matches, falling to the Tigers 9-0.
The Tornados will return to Austin, Texas for their home-opening match on Saturday when they host LeTourneau at 2 p.m. at the River Place Country Club.
