After suffering a lopsided defeat in the first set, the Tornados were able to bounce back and win the next three sets, taking a 3-1 victory with set scores of 10-25, 25-21, 27-25, and 25-23.
The Tornados struggled in the opening set, giving up an 8-0 run early on that they were unable to recover from, and LETU ultimately took the frame 25-10.
In the second set, LETU took an early lead and held it, building a 15-13 advantage, but a 3-0 run capped off with a kill from
Nicole Deering saw CTX take their first lead of the set. The two teams traded blows, eventually bringing the score to 22-21 in favor of the Tornados, and kills from Block and
Alyssa Legette helped to close out the set with three unanswered points. Ghormley led the way with five kills in the set, and Block picked up four of her own, winning 25-21 to tie the match with one set each.
Deering registered five of her seven kills in the third set, coming alive to lead the Tornados offensive charge. With the Tornados and Yellow jackets trading blows, a 6-1 run saw the Tornados turn a 24-21 deficit to a 27-25 set win, completing the comeback to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
The fourth set was another back-and-forth affair, the teams trading points once again, but Block took over the match, adding 11 kills to the Tornados' effort in the frame. With the score leaning LETU's way at 20-18, Block registered kills on five of the next seven CTX points, closing out the match with authority as her 21st kill of the night ended the fourth set at 25-23. In four frames, the Tornados won their fifth straight match with a score of 3-1.
