BOX SCORE SEGUIN, Texas –
Joeri Bregman picked up the first two wins of his collegiate career and the Concordia Texas men's tennis team rolled past Texas Lutheran 9-0 on Saturday.
In doubles play, it was all Tornados as the team notched 8-0 wins at line two and three, while at line one, Bregman and teammate
Adrian Munguia took care of business with an 8-4 victory.
In singles play, CTX continued their dominating play of the Bulldogs as every single Tornado won in straight sets in their matches.
Bregman led the way, coasting to a 6-1, 6-1 decision at line one.
Jorge Garcia, meanwhile, did not lose a game in his match at line four, winning 6-0, 6-0.
Munguia and
Nico De La Pena picked up wins at line two and three, respectively.
Jesse West and
Jacob Naiser closed out the shutout for CTX, cruising to 6-1, 6-0, and 6-0, 6-0 wins at line five and six, respectively.
The Tornados will have a quick turnaround, traveling to Belton, Texas on the campus of Mary Hardin-Baylor to face UT-Rio Grande Valley on Monday at 9 a.m.
