BOX SCORE SAN ANTONIO – Nico De La Pena and Jesse West teamed up for two wins on the day, bringing home a doubles flight B title for the Concordia Texas men's tennis team at the ITA Southwest Regional on Sunday.
 
De La Pena and West recorded five wins as a pair at the tournament, including two on the final day, playing their way to a doubles ITA title in flight B.
 
In the semifinal match, the duo of seniors came out on top of a back-and-forth battle, winning the tiebreaker 7-5 to take the match 8-7 over LeTourneau's McGinty and Barreros.
 
After a hard-fought match in the semifinals, De La Pena and West toppled the pair of Maltzhahn and Kittredge out of UMHB by a score of 8-4. With the victory, the duo ended the Tornados' weekend on a high note, taking home the flight B doubles title.
 
With the ITA Southwest Regional in the book, Concordia Texas will look towards the spring season and prepare for dual matches and ASC play.
