AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas volleyball team dropped a ASC matchup to McMurry in four sets. Senior
Kinsy Haschke tallied a double-double (17 kills, 10 digs) inside the Concordia Fieldhouse on Friday.
Freshman setter
Selena Cooper posted a game-high 29 assists, while
Sarah Ghormley and
Kaitlyn Ruiz combined for 34 digs (17 each).
The Warhawks used an 8-2 run midway through the first set to win game one 25-17. They then extended their mach advantage to 2-0 with a 7-3 burst to end a 25-16 game win.
Set three was the most competitive as both teams were tied 17-17 late into the game. A kill by
Darby Stowers capped off a 7-1 flurry by CTX, but McMurry tied the match up at 24-24 with a run of their own. Concordia would ultimately force a game four thanks to back-to-back kills by Ghormley.
Both teams were once again tied 17-17 in set four when the Warhawks gained separation with a 6-1 run en route to a 25-22 win for the match victory.
Concordia Texas will immediately be back in action when they host Hardin-Simmons on Saturday at 1 p.m.
