LONGVIEW, Texas - All 15 players that checked into the game scored for the Concordia Texas women's basketball team in a 77-56 triumph over LeTourneau.
Mikayla Johnson led the way with 12 points (four 3PM), while four Tornados reached double-figure scoring inside Solheim Arena on Saturday.
Concordia outscored LeTourneau 53-19 in bench points.
LeTourneau scored the first basket of the game, but CTX answered with a 12-0 run going into the first media timeout. With the first quarter winding down, the Yellowjackets had cut the deficit to six before Johnson beat the buzzer with a three-pointer to extend the lead to 22-13.
Midway through the second quarter, a pair of jumpers by
Zakari Perry pushed the Tornados' lead to 29-16. CTX would take a 35-21 advantage into the half.
Keeping their foot on the pedal offensively, the Tornados outscored LETU 23-13 in the third quarter. Their lead would grow to as much as a season-high 26 points en route to cruising to victory.
Concordia Texas will next return home to host Howard Payne next Saturday, Dec. 17th. Tip off is set for 1:00 p.m.
