LONGVIEW, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's basketball team overcame a 13-point, second half deficit to defeat LeTourneau by a score of 88-78. Big man Antoine Henderson posted season-highs of 24 points and nine rebounds, while first-year guard Jaylon Johnson poured in 20 points to lead the Tornados inside Solheim Arena on Saturday.

Concordia raced out to an early 20-12 lead entering the under-12 media timeout thanks to 10 points from Johnson. LETU responded with an 18-3 run to take a 30-25 lead with seven minutes left in the first half.

The Yellowjackets' lead would reach as much as eight points in the final minutes. With both teams trading scores, Dylen Scales knocked down a pair of free throws to make it a 41-34 game heading into the half.

LeTourneau extended their lead to 13-points early in the second half. CTX would climb back into the game with a step back jumper by Henderson to kick off a 23-5 burst to give the Tornados a 63-58 lead with 8:07 remaining. The final eight minutes featured four ties and four lead changes as a clutch three by Johnson gave Concordia a 76-73 advantage, and they would not trail again in the victory.

Concordia Texas will next return home to host Howard Payne next Saturday, Dec. 17th. Tip off is set for 3:00 p.m.
