LONGVIEW, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's golf team completed the Pinecrest Intercollegiate, finishing third after 36 holes at Pinecrest Country Club on Tuesday.
Due to weather on Monday, the first round was suspended and finished on Tuesday. The Tornados wrapped up the final holes of the first round before beginning the final 18 holes.
As a team, Concordia Texas finished third out of five teams, totaling 354-359 – 713 on the tournament.
Julia Moss earned her second top-10 finish of the spring, leading the way for Concordia Texas in a tie-for-ninth after compiling a two-round score of 86-86 – 172.
Next,
Emma Finger finished 11th, shooting 86-89 – 175 on the tournament, and
Tiana Shobe ended the event in a tie-for-14th with a score of 87-93 – 180.
Makaela Lauritsen also finished top-20, ending in a tie-for-16th with a 36-hole score of 95-91 – 186, and
Samantha Miethke rounded out the CTX scoring with 96-101 – 197, good for 21st place.
Maialen Erana, competing as an individual, penciled in a total score of 111-104 – 215 at the tournament.
The Tornados' next appearance will come when they travel to Plano, Texas for the Texas Cup. They will begin the tournament on Saturday at Watters Creek Golf Club.
