ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's golf team hosted the Linda Lowery Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Teravista Golf Course, competing across two rounds on its home course.
The Tornados placed sixth overall as a team and were led by Reese Trujillo and Remme Trujillo, who each finished tied for 17th to pace Concordia in the field.
Reese showed one of the strongest improvements in the tournament, climbing seven spots on the leaderboard in the final round. After carding an 85 in round one, she responded with an 80 on Tuesday, highlighted by steady play on the back nine to move into a tie for 17th.
Remme opened the tournament with a 78 in round one and followed with an 87 in round two to also finish tied for 17th overall.
Silvia Alejandra Martinez-Ibarra finished 22nd after rounds of 84 and 90, while Andrea Juarez placed 40th with scores of 97 and 88, showing improvement in the second round.
Paige Zehner rounded out the lineup in 42nd place, posting rounds of 97 and 103.
As a team, Concordia showed resilience throughout the tournament, highlighted by multiple players improving in the second round while competing on their home course.
Concordia Texas will next travel to Frankston, TX to compete in the Pines Dunes Invitational starting next Monday, March 30th. The tournament, hosted by LeTourneau, will be at the Pine Dunes Resort & Golf Club.
