The Tornados returned home to Tornado Softball Field for the first time since Feb. 15, opening a three-game series against the Comets.

The Tornados were retired in order in the following inning, falling 2-1 to UTD.
In the second game of the night, Riley and
Kylie Pavlicek each tallied a pair of hits, but CTX only scored a run, coming up short 2-1 to the Comets.
It was a scoreless bout between the teams till the fifth inning when UTD scratched across a pair of runs and led 2-0.
The Tornados were quick to respond in the bottom half of the inning as Hallmark doubled to right and scored later in the inning on a Comets' throwing error, cutting the deficit in half at 2-1.
Megan Hooper tallied her lone hit of the night in the following frame but CTX was unable to continue the inning, trailing 2-1 going into the seventh.
In their final at-bat, the Tornados were retired in order, dropping the second game of the doubleheader 2-1.
