ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's soccer team secured their second clean sheet in a row with a 4-0 win over the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs.

Alycia Buenaventura,
Falynn Pyterek and
Kaley Kaspar all found the back of the net at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Wednesday.

Patricia Heckendorn, Kaspar,
Addi Taylor and
Kallie Krenz all tallied an assist on the day. As the aggressors for the majority of the match, the Tornados marked season-highs of 23 shot attempts (12 on goal) and seven corner kicks.
Wenzel scored her first collegiate goal in the 21st minute off a free kick assist from Visser to give CTX a 1-0 advantage going into halftime. Heckendorn exhibited crisp passing all night, which was highlihgted on an entry pass that found a streaking Buenaventura for the 2-0 lead in the 59th minute.
On the attack again just seven minutes later, Kaspar connected with Pyterek with a pass inside the box to extend the advantage to 3-0. Following a stolen ball by Taylor in the 79th minute, Concordia Texas would put on the finishing touches of a counter attack when Krenz slipped a through ball to Taylor for a header to seal the 4-0 victory.
Concordia Texas will next travel to Houston on Sunday, Sept. 18 to take on St. Thomas at 1 p.m.
