BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Concordia Texas volleyball team took care of business as they swept Howard Payne in ASC action on the road. Freshman setter Selena Cooper tallied 28 of the team's 32 assists inside Brownwood Coliseum on Thursday. 

Senior Sarah Ghormley posted 14 kills and nine digs while grad transfer Kinsy Haschke totaled 12 digs and eight kills. Junior Kaitlyn Ruiz also impressed with 11 digs.

A kill by Ghormley capped a 4-0 burst by the Tornados to start game one. Keeping separation with a 15-9 lead, a kill by Selena Cooper helped CTX end game one on a 10-4 run.

Playing with confidence, the Tornados scored the first nine points of game two. Later in the set with the score at 20-15, a kill by sophomore Jennika Willis sparked a 5-0 streak to push the match lead to 2-0.

CTX looked like a well-oiled machine in game three. Up 16-9, the Tornados scored the final nine points of the match to earn a sweep in conference play.
