Women's Soccer Claims Senior Day Victory Over the Ozarks

Kaley Kaspar netted the first half game winner on Saturday.

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's soccer team fought to a 1-1 draw against UT Dallas. Kaley Kaspar powered the 46th minute goal to put the Tornados on the scoreboard inside the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Thursday.

Krenz fired a shot that smacked the cross bar and Patricia Heckendorn powered a wing shot that the keeper just barely got a fingertip on it the 16th. The Tornados would keep pressing as the first half aggressors (23-3 first half shots) and finally break free when a cross from Heckendorn connected with Kaspar for the score in the 40th.

The Tornados seemed primed to go up 2-0 in the 73rd when a lead pass from Kaspar found Krenz who beat the keeper but just missed to the right. The Eagles had an opportunity with back-to-back corners in the 80th, but Lora Tresco (second clean sheet of the season) held firm and corralled the second corner out the air. Just two minutes later, she sealed the match with a free kick save.

Concordia Texas will now host the University of the Ozarks for Senior Day in the regular season home finale on Saturday, October 14th at 1 p.m.
