ROUND ROCK, Texas - Concordia Texas men's soccer junior forward
Alejandro Rojas netted a hat trick to highlight a 6-0 masterclass against the University of the Ozarks. Senior goalkeepers
Bradley Wadas (first half) and
Joshua Redding (second half) combined for the clean sheet while second year midfielder
Gustavo Hernandez notched two assists at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Saturday.
The Tornados outshot the Eagles 20-5 (13-0 on goal) as they came out firing with Rojas' first goal off an assist from
Marco Rodriguez Jr. in the third minute. Later in the 14th, Hernandez lobbed a pass across the box to Rojas for the header.Â
Just two minutes later, a through ball from Hernandez found a streaking
Theo Givens who laced the back of the net for the 3-0 lead. CTX would then take a 4-0 advantage into the half when Givens laid the ball down for a
Marco Casulli goal in the 29th.
Immediately after the half, the Tornados intercepted a potential clearout from the Ozarks' defense and Rojas capitalized for his final goal of the afternoon. The Tornados would keep up the pressure for the majority of the half as they capped off their dominance with one last goal from
Jonathan De La Torre in the 81st.Â
Concordia Texas will now head to Abilene to take on McMurry next Thursday, October 19th at 7:30pm.Â
