BELTON, Texas - The Concordia Texas volleyball team was downed in straight sets at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
The Crusaders led by as many as eight points, before
Selena Cooper assisted
Camryn Parker for a kill to spark a comeback for the Tornados. Concordia would cut the deficit down to 24-22 late in the set following another kill by Parker, but UMHB would hold on for a 25-22 win.
The Tornados trailed 16-12 midway through set two when a 4-0 burst by the Crusaders put the game under control. Down 23-15, CTX scored three straight points capped off by a
Haylee Diebel kill. UMHB would tally the final two points of the game to take a 2-0 advantage.
An 8-1 flurry by the Crusaders in the middle of set three gave them a 17-7 lead. This would prove to be enough cushion en route to a 25-11 win and match victory.
Concordia Texas will now return home to host UT Dallas this Saturday, October 28th for Senior Day at 1 pm.
