BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's soccer team competed in a 0-0 slugfest against Howard Payne University. Junior goalkeeper Lora Tresco tallied four saves at Citizens National Bank Field on Saturday night.

The match was merely even throughout as the Tornados fired nine shots (seven on goal) to the Yellowjackets' 12 shots (seven on goal). 

The Tornados were the aggressors for much of the first half as six of their shots were in the first 45 minutes. CTX had four opportunities for the go-ahead goal in the last six minutes of the first with Kallie Krenz and Falynn Pyterek powering two shots apiece that were all saved.

Out of the intermission, Concordia put on a defensive masterpiece. Withstanding 10 shots from Howard Payne, the Tornados' back line protected the net with savvy defense and gritty stops.

With just over 10 minutes remaining, Erin Folkner cranked a shot towards the bottom left that harmlessly fell to the keeper's arms.Both teams pressed for the go-ahead goal in the waning minutes, but neither team could breakthrough for the draw.
