SEGUIN, Texas - The Concordia University Texas women's basketball team fell in a 79-40 contest at Texas Lutheran University. Freshman forward
Haven Haymes posted a team-high and career-high 11 points inside of Memorial Gymnasium on Monday.
The Bulldogs notched the first seven points of the game, before
Hayla Flowers found Haymes for the Tornados' first points of the evening. A fast start for Texas Lutheran gave them a 23-6 lead after the first quarter.
Continuing their momentum, the Bulldogs took a 49-18 lead into the break. CTX came out of the half with much more tenacity with a 13-12 third quarter. Both teams would remain competitive throughout the remainder of the game to close it out.Â
Concordia Texsa will now shift their focus to conference play where they will host UMHB Saturday, Dec. 2nd at 1pm.Â
