With the score tied 7-7 midway through the first, the Cowgirls utilized 15-4 run to end the quarter. They then pushed their lead to 35-14 before a steal by
Havyn Perez resulted in a
Kennedy Donovan layup to stop the run. Hardin-Simmons would finish the quarter strong to take a 49-20 lead into the break.
WIth a comfortable lead throughout the entirety of the second half, the Cowgirls surged to the victory.
Concordia Texas will now stay in Abilene where they will take on McMurry in a crucial game for conference seeding on Saturday, Feb. 18. Tip off for the regular season finale is set for 1 p.m.
