BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2 KERRVILLE, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's and women's team handled Schreiner University in non-conference action. The men swept the Bulldogs 9-0, and the women won 8-1 at the Cree Tennis Center on Saturday. 

Kayla Pena played in the most competitive singles match in a 6-4, 6-7, 6-10 decision on court one. Isabella Cepeda, Natalia Goodman and Trinity Klamecki cruised to victories as none of their sets went to a third game in singles action. Isabella Wiik was strong in poll two with a 6-2, 6-4 victory, while Emily Hines secured a 6-0, 6-4 win on court five. In doubles action, the duos of Wiik/Kaitlin Stevens and Claire Austin/Klamecki won 8-7 tiebreakers, while Pena and Cepeda dominated on court two with an 8-0 sweep.

The men were solid all around as Joshua Bode kicked things off with a 6-4, 6-1 win followed by a 6-1, 6-2 victory by Adrian Munguia. Jorge Garcia competed in the most competitive singles draw in a 7-6 decision in the first set, before claiming the match victory with a 6-3 win in set two. Estaban Arrendondo was nearly perfect in match five as he won 6-1, 6-0. Andres Padilla won his fifth singles match in a row with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph, and Evan Pena Jr. secured a victory with a win by retirement. In doubles action, Bode/Manguia continued their winning ways with the closest match of the day at 8-6. Arrendondo and Joeri Bregman tallied an 8-4 victory, and duo of Padilla/Daniel Beckles capped off the sweep with an 8-5 victory.
