MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina - The Concordia Texas softball team capped off an undefeated Fastpitch Dreams Classic with a 3-0 shutout over the University of Maine-Farmington. Caitlyn Rangel and Krista Burg combined for eight strikeouts and only four hits allowed in the tournament finale on Thursday.

Concordia got onto the scoreboard early when Ellie Congalton stole second and Grace Coleman raced home for a 1-0 lead. With neither team gaining traction at the plate over the next three innings, CTX added insurance when Mindy Matthews doubled to left centerfield to score Denaro. Grace Coleman then cranked a RBI-triple to bring home Matthews.

After nine games in 10 days, Concordia Texas will return home to host Hardin-Simmons on Friday, March 24. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 4 pm.
